Community Relations
We believe that making great footwear is only one part of our job. An equally important part is being active members of our local communities and in the greater global community – using our talents, ingenuity and work ethic to bring assistance where it's needed. Below are some of the ways we work together to make a difference.

Soul of Africa Charity
The Soul of Africa program was founded by Lance Clark to help South African villagers affected by AIDS. By teaching them how to make simple, comfortable hand-sewn footwear, this initiative gives meaningful employment to many women in some of the most impoverished regions in South Africa. For every pair sold, Clarks donates all the proceeds to the care and support of children orphaned due to AIDS. Each pair sold also helps provide income for the people who stitch the shoes.
