DESERT PEACE

Introducing the Desert Peace, from the Clarks: Rebooted collection.

According to Bob and Roberta Smith, campaign manifestos—especially painted signs—are works of art. These Desert Boots will be your own peace campaign – the epitome of ‘Make Art not War’! Available for home delivery only.

Profits from Clarks: Rebooted Desert Boots support the HALO Trust.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Bob and Roberta Smith, the pseudonym of artist Patrick Brill, uses text as an art form, creating colourful slogans — humorous musings on art, politics and popular culture — on banners and placards. His famous work, Make Art Not War (1997), sits in the Tate Modern’s permanent collection. In 2013, he initiated the Art Party Conference, a forum for artists and organisations to debate the role of art and design in schools; in 2014, he was elected to the Royal Academy of Arts.
