This is a great shoe right out of the box with no break in required. Very comfortable to wear all day I especially like the expandable front it definitely helped with the all day comfort.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Dino1 Just ordered my second pair.
I fully understand the 1 star review. When I first got these it was so light and substandard for what I would expect from a Bostonian shoe. I was replacing some Bostinian Tuscanas with leather soles and liner. This shoe has no where near that quality. I believe this shoe should be moved to another brand and removed from the Bostinian brand.
I did make a effort to search out a Bostonian with a rubber sole and this was it. I wanted a shoe to wear in the rain without getting the creak sound that leather soles start to make after a few times through the rain.
While I was disappointed with the shoe on first impression because of the relative quality of other shoes in this brand, I started to like it. It is very light. Easy to pack for travel. It has a elastic stretch gusset that is great for slipping on with a shoe horn or for some give while in the office.
I have had these for a year now and they have been my daily shoe at the office. I would pick another shoe for formal events or if I had a higher profile position, but this is great for everyday use. I have been happy with them over the last year and now I am placing an order for a replacement pair.

Very lightweight, comfortable and good looking, but they feel low volume, run a half size smaller than my other Clark's shoes and scuff easily.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Marcantonio724 Disappointed in the Lack of Quality
I own a similar pair of Bostonians from 2003. This was back when they were made in Italy out of actual leather. I have finally worn through them and was expecting to find a comparable quality product. Unfortunately, it appears they no longer make them to same standards they once did. The "leather" was very plastic feeling and the overall look of the shoe has lost a lot. Hopefully this will change in the future as Bostonian was always my favorite brand.
The purchase and return experience was very impressive. If they could make the product as well as they did the web site, they'd have a good thing.
