Rated 1 out of 5 by Zach13 Too big and not the right color
The shoes don't resemble the picture well, it was more of a darker gray and wasn't what I expected. Also I would order them a size smaller, they run big

Love these desert boots so much I had to get a 2nd pair. I really like the rust finish. Although a bit narrow for my wider set feet, I know they will stretch with wear, as my old pair are very comfortable now. Highly recommended!

I used to wear these in the 60's. Now, there's all this colors and leathers to choose from. I wear them with no socks and they feel great. When my ankles swell up, they are perfect!

I love the look of these and have owned several pairs in various colors. The way the leather wears over time is also great. However, the crepe sole never lasts me more than 10 months before a hole develops through the entire boot at the ball of the foot. I wear them M-F for work and a small part of my commute is on foot. I wish these were more durable. Of course you could always resole them with a rubber sole but that can be expensive. My current pair is about to wear through and I think I'll make the switch to a more durable boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TrumpetFngrs16 Overall Amazing Shoe
The shoe color itself is a little darker than what is seen on the display pictures but it stays true to the description. The suede made me reluctant to purchase but it's not a cheap suede it is of utmost quality. The insoles are also like mini clouds cushioning your feet as you walk. Amazing shoe overall, the only thing that keeps me from using it everyday is so they last longer. 5 stars

Rated 4 out of 5 by Bobio Oakwood review
I was disappointed that the color of the Oakwood desert boot was lighter than the photo online showed it to be. I have a pair of sand desert boots and the Oakwoods weren't much darker. Nevertheless, I love the retro look of the desert boots like I wore in high school in the 60s. As always, I buy Clarks boots a half size smaller. They are very comfortable, but I have other Clarks boots that have more support. With desert boots, you either love them or you can't figure out what the appeal is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by StellarLas Love the Desert boot but wish they had not changed the sizing
The Desert boot is a classic for a reason, it's dressy, it's casual, it's my go to shoe for everyday. For this reason I walked through my past pair and was looking to replace them online for convenience. Unfortunately, Clarks has decided to gender these shoes and create a Men's and Women's version since I purchased my last pair. Long story short I ordered and returned four pairs of shoes trying to find the right fit but no luck.
The "womens" runs a little narrower and the leather is darker for some reason.
I still intend to replace them but will have to do so in store.

Rated 2 out of 5 by djwerd Major Issues With The Sole
I love the way the boot looks and feels. However, the crepe sole has some major issues. Hopefully the sole material on my pair are defective. In only 1 month I've worn a hole all the way through the sole and footbed. I've never had this happened to a pair of shoes in my entire life. I contacted Clarks' customer service and I'm hoping they make it right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Sfrank Would like to see different insole
Would have given them a 5 * if it wasn't for the liner.
Went with what the reviews said about size. I wear 11 and ordered 10.5 perfect fit.
The only problem I have with the shoe is the original Clark's foot bed liner. Started to come unglued after the first few wears. Going to put another insert in and that will take care of the problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by QuaintIrene The price is right...
...got these in a Clarks one-day sale. I used to wear Clarks desert boots when I was a student in England when they were 10 pounds a pair and I am not THAT old. I do think they are terribly expensive now but love them and was delighted to acquire these in a very nice green colour. They fit well and as the last pair of Clarks originals lasted 2 years of literally daily wear, I trust these will be similarly long-lived though I may change them up with other shoes so that they last longer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JohnS Just as expected
These boots have been around (and popular) since I was a child. I've always liked the look of them, but never had a pair, until now. They are very well made, high quality shoes. A bit stiff until they're broken in (about a week), but I wouldn't expect otherwise, as the suede is so thick.

Rated 3 out of 5 by JakeKT Looks good, but doesn't hold up
I love the way these boots look. They're versatile and can be worn with just about anything. They're pretty comfortable after you get them broken in. My only complaint about comfort would be that they aren't real breathable. So when I wore them for a full work day, my feet would get stuffy, but that is somewhat expected with boots.
My main issue is that I had mine for about 3 years, and then the sole on the bottom on one boot split across the bottom, all the way through. I didn't notice until I stepped in some water, and noticed my foot was wet.
I was really disappointed due to the amount of money I spent on the shoes that they didn't hold up longer. I didn't actually where them all that often, either. I was really surprised that such a soft material would split open like that.
