Desert Trek Our icon has evolved
Reimagining an icon.
Originally known as ‘Six Toes’, the Trek’s unusual foot shape was crafted round the innovative Nature form last. Featuring the classic 'Trek Man' emblem and distinctive central butt seam, it endures as a design classic unaltered for more than 40 years. For Spring 2019 we’ve created new interpretations of the global cult classic that translate its core DNA into brand new styles available for both men and women. We kept the distinctive last shape but added a sacchetto construction, resulting in a cleaner, more streamlined silhouette.
The famous Desert Trek (or Bank Robber, as it’s known in Jamaica) was first created in 1972.
On our men’s version we swapped the crepe outsole for a molded asymmetric EVA version which is lightweight, cushioned and gives a more streamlined aesthetic. We kept distinctive details such as the contrast heel counter and centre buttseam, both of which have been called out in a contrast colour. For an extra special finish we created a material contrast, using soft Italian veg tan leather on one side of the upper and textured suede from our historic partner tannery Charles F. Stead’s on the other.
Available for Spring Summer 2019 the Trek Formed for men comes in black and light tan and the Trek Form for women comes in off-white and cool blue.Shop the collection
